Former Arkansas wing Stanley Umude has agreed to an Exhibit-10 contract with the Detroit Pistons, according to a report.
Jon Chepkevich of Rookie Scale reported the news Friday in a post to his Twitter account. Umude is the first known undrafted Razorback to agree to terms with a franchise.
An Exhibit-10 deal is a one-year, minimum-salary contract that counts toward a team’s 20-man offseason roster limit. It does not count against the team’s salary cap unless he lands on the regular-season roster.
Umude reportedly had pre-draft workouts with Utah, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Orlando, Toronto and, most recently, Detroit on June 17.
At Arkansas, the 6-6 wing finished second on the team in scoring at 11.9 points per game in 2021-22, trailing only JD Notae (18.3). He shot 37.1% from three-point range.
Umude was one of the nation’s leading scorers at South Dakota in 2020-21. In his final year with the Coyotes, he averaged 21.6 points on 47.1% from the floor.
