The Recruiting Guy

Arkansas could be home for Dylan Hasz

WR-S Dylan Hasz.

Athlete Dylan Hasz finished his official visit to Arkansas on Sunday thinking it could be a good place to call home.

It doesn’t hurt that his twin brother and tight end Luke Hasz is committed to the Razorbacks.

"It's been a great visit,” Hasz said. “This is a good place. This would be a good place to call home. My brother's here, so it's exciting.”

Hasz, 5-11, 180 pounds, of Bixby, Okla., has offers from Arkansas, Tulsa, Air Force, Navy, South Dakota State, and others. He took an unofficial visit to Tulsa last week.

His brother has been in his ear.

"You know, he's pitching his side,” Hasz said. “He wants me to come here. He's just as excited as I am.”

As a junior, Hasz was a workhorse for the 13-0 Spartans who won the 6A-II State title. He had 24 catches for 193 yards and 3 touchdowns, and 5 carries for 26 yards.

He added 14 punt returns for 214 yards, and 28 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 12 pass breakups at safety.

Defensive coordinator Barry Odom visited Bixby during the spring evaluation period that ran from April 15-May 31. The visit helped Hasz land his offer from Arkansas.

Hanging out with the 10 other visiting prospects highlighted his weekend.

"We've got a lot of good recruits here,” he said. “This class right here, we've got some fun dudes. It was a nice time.”

Hasz has visited Fayetteville several times before, but this time was different.

"I've been here a few times, but I feel like I got a different feel this time,” Hasz said.

He said the chances are good he joins his brother in Fayetteville.

"Some very high chances, I will say that,” he said. “Just patience right now. It's been a long summer."
