FAYETTEVILLE — Former Arkansas forward Connor Vanover announced his transfer destination on Monday in a post to his Instagram account.

Vanover, a 7-3 forward who played two seasons with the Razorbacks after transferring from California, has committed to Oral Roberts of The Summit League. He stated plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal on April 6.

Vanover is the second player on Arkansas’ 2021-22 roster to commit to another program, joining Chance Moore (Missouri State).

After redshirting during the 2019-20 season, Eric Musselman’s first with the Razorbacks, Vanover played in 44 games, including 37 starts. In 2020-21, he averaged 6.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game over 16.2 minutes.

Vanover shot 56.8% on two-point attempts and was 24 of 74 (32.4%) from three-point range, beginning the year with 23 points on 8 of 11 shooting — 4 of 5 from three — against Mississippi Valley State. He blocked multiple shots in 14 games.

Last season, he earned a start in 10 of Arkansas’ first 12 games then did not play in the final 19 games.

Vanover scored a season-high 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 17 minutes against Gardner-Webb on Nov. 13. His final double-digit scoring game (14) came in the 72-64 victory over Kansas State on Nov. 22 at the Hall of Fame Classic in Kansas City.

A 31.9% career three-point shooter, Vanover struggled beyond the arc in 2021-22, finishing 1 of 13 for the season. He missed his final 11 attempts.

Vanover made 21 of 38 (55.3%) two-point shots.

In 2021-22, Oral Roberts finished 19-12 overall and 12-6 in league games.
