FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas lost its final two games of the regular season at Alabama, but the Razorbacks might get a quick chance at revenge against the Crimson Tide.

Arkansas (38-16) will play either Alabama or Georgia in its first game at the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Ala., on Wednesday. The game is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.

The Razorbacks are the No. 3 seed in the tournament and will play the winner of Tuesday’s game between sixth-seeded Georgia (35-20) and 11th-seeded Alabama (29-25). Teams that lose Tuesday will be eliminated from the tournament.

Wednesday’s games begin the double-elimination portion of the tournament. Other teams Arkansas might see during double-elimination play include No. 2 seed Texas A&M, No. 7 seed Florida and No. 10 seed South Carolina.

The Razorbacks lost two of three games at Texas A&M and Florida, and did not play South Carolina during the regular season.

The tournament returns to single elimination for the semifinal and championship rounds. Teams on the other side of the bracket are Tennessee (seeded No. 1), LSU (4), Auburn (5), Vanderbilt (8), Ole Miss (9) and Kentucky (12).

Arkansas is the reigning SEC Tournament champion. The Razorbacks defeated Tennessee 7-2 in the championship game last year to win the tournament for the first time.
