Through two games since transferring from Alabama, Sanders has 16 tackles and leads the Razorbacks with three sacks.

“He's getting better each week because he's understanding (and) he's turning that loose a little bit more,” Arkansas coach Sam Pittman said Saturday. “And if you see today versus when he first came in the spring, you’d think we had two totally different people. But he's a really good player and a great kid, and I'm glad he had a good game today.”

Sanders is the second Arkansas linebacker to earn national player of the week from the Camp Foundation in the past two years. Hayden Henry won the honor last season following the Razorbacks’ Week 2 victory over Texas.

Arkansas, which moved to 10th in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 poll, is scheduled to host Missouri State next weekend.
