Moses Moody and the Golden State Warriors on Sunday advanced to the second round of the NBA playoffs in the Western Conference.

Warriors star Steph Curry scored 50 points — the most in a Game 7 in league history — against the Sacramento Kings in a 120-100 series-clinching victory in Sacramento. Moody, the SEC freshman of the year in his lone season with the Razorbacks, had 5 points off the bench on 2 of 3 from the field.

In 15:06 on the floor, Moody blocked a shot and knocked down a right-wing three-pointer. His triple, assisted by Andrew Wiggins, put Golden State ahead 18-12 in the first quarter.

Just more than one minute later, Moody blocked Kings wing Keegan Murray near the rim then forced a jump ball. With 29.7 seconds remaining in the game, Moody made a long pull-up jumper that was assisted by Warriors guard Donte DiVincenzo.

Moody averaged 6 points and shot 12 of 20 from the field in 6 games played in the series. His best performances came in Games 3 and 6, when he added 13 points and 9 points with 3 steals, respectively.

The Warriors will begin their second-round series against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. Game 1 is scheduled for 9 p.m. Central on TNT.

Caleb Martin, who played two seasons under Eric Musselman at Nevada, on Sunday finished with 9 points on 3 of 8 from the field, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block and 1 assist in Miami’s 108-101 win over the New York Knicks in Game 1 of its second-round Eastern Conference series.

Game 2 is scheduled for Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Central on TNT.
