FAYETTEVILLE — Excessive heat in the forecast has caused a change to the start time for Arkansas' soccer game against Oregon on Thursday.
The 10th-ranked Razorbacks and the Ducks are scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. at Razorback Field, one hour later than originally scheduled. The game will be streamed on SEC Network+.
According to the National Weather Service, Thursday will be sunny with a high of 99 degrees in Fayetteville, where an excessive heat warning has been in place since last weekend. Heat indices have exceeded 110 degrees in recent days and are expected to be well into triple digits through the rest of the week.
Arkansas (1-0) opened the season last Thursday with a 1-0 victory over Arkansas State. It was the team's 23rd consecutive game without a loss at Razorback Field.
Oregon (0-1) lost 2-0 to Baylor in its season opener.
