The loser will be eliminated....Kansas is the No. 1 seed in the West Region and the No. 3 overall seed in the tournament. The Jayhawks defeated Howard 96-68 on Thursday....Kansas coach Bill Self has missed the team's last four games after undergoing a heart procedure before the Big 12 Tournament. Self also missed the team's first five games while serving a suspension. Norm Roberts has served as the Jayhawks' coach will Self out. Self is in Des Moines and could potentially coach Saturday's game....Kansas is 47-16 in NCAA Tournament games under Self. Self has a 56-21 record at the NCAA Tournament.
