FAYETTEVILLE — Mike Neighbors and the Arkansas women’s basketball team received surprising news Friday.

Leading scorer and All-SEC second-team selection Erynn Barnum announced on social media she is entering the NCAA transfer portal. Barnum recently completed her redshirt senior season and will use a final year of eligibility – granted due to covid-19 – elsewhere.

She led the Razorbacks at 15 points per game and was second on the team in rebounding at 6.5 per game. She scored 37 points in a home loss to Ole Miss in January and had the eighth-most points in a season (555) in program history.

Barnum was one of Neighbors’ first recruits at Arkansas, coming to Fayetteville from Little Rock Central in the 2018 recruiting class.

She is the first Razorback to enter the transfer portal this offseason.
