No TV or online stream for Arkansas-Lipscomb game; how to listen, pitching matchup, forecast, team comparisons

Arkansas reliever Parker Coil pitches Friday, March 3, 2023, during the Razorbacks’ 12-2 run-rule-shortened win over Wright State at Baum-Walker Stadium in Fayetteville.

Consistent with past games played in North Little Rock, the baseball game between Arkansas and Lipscomb will not be televised or streamed Tuesday.

Arkansas officials have previously cited the lack of infrastructure in place and the costs associated with independently broadcasting those games when they are not chosen for network TV. Third-party broadcasts are not allowed because the SEC owns the TV rights to the Razorbacks' home games.

Arkansas spent $7 million before the SEC Network’s launch in August 2014 to provide TV and streaming capabilities at all of its on-campus sports venues. Broadcasting from an off-campus location would likely cost in excess of $50,000, according to market estimates.

Before the Arkansas basketball team played Bradley at nearby Simmons Bank Arena last December, Arkansas athletics director Hunter Yurachek called televising games in North Little Rock "an unavoidable challenge right now as long as we continue to play there.”
