Hot-hitting Razorbacks sweep Alabama on the road

No. 11 Arkansas hit .442 for the match and swept Alabama 25-15, 25-16, 25-21 in Southeastern Conference volleyball Friday night.

The Razorbacks (22-4, 12-2 SEC) got 15 kills from Jill Gillen and she hit .452, while Taylor Head and Maggie Cartwright chipped in 13 kills apiece. The 22 wins are the most in one season for coach Jason Watson since he took the helm in 2016 – with four matches left in the regular season – and the most for Arkansas since 2012.

Setter Hannah Hogue registered another double-double with 43 assists and 11 digs. Arkansas libero Courtney Jackson anchored the defense with a match-high 21 digs.

Arkansas plays at Ole Miss on Wednesday before coming back home to host back-to-back matches against No. 21 Florida on Wednesday. The Razorbacks will also host No. 13 Kentucky on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m.
