Date change for Hogs' baseball series at Auburn

Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn returns to the dugout Monday, June 5, 2023, after making a pitching change during the sixth inning of the Razorbacks’ 12-4 loss to TCU in the NCAA Fayetteville Regional at Baum-Walker Stadium.
FAYETTEVILLE — Dates have changed for Arkansas’ first road series of the 2024 baseball season.
The Razorbacks’ series at Auburn is now scheduled to be played March 21-23 at Plainsman Park in Auburn, Ala. It was originally scheduled for March 22-24.
It will be the second SEC series for Arkansas, which is scheduled to open conference play the week before against Missouri at Baum-Walker Stadium.
The change to a Thursday series start is likely to accommodate TV, but a TV schedule is not expected to be released by the SEC until early next year.
Arkansas has three Thursday-Friday-Saturday series on the schedule in 2024, including back-to-back weeks against Auburn and LSU. The series against LSU is scheduled for March 28-30 to give players off the Easter holiday.
The Razorbacks are scheduled to close the regular season beginning on a Thursday at Texas A&M. The SEC season always ends on a Saturday to give teams an extra day of rest before the SEC Tournament the following week.
