FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas will play another night road game at Ole Miss on Oct. 7.
The game between the Razorbacks and the Rebels will kick off at 6:30 p.m. at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Miss. It will be televised by SEC Network.
Ole Miss (3-1, 0-1 SEC) fell from 15th to 20th in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 poll following a 24-10 loss at Alabama. The Rebels are scheduled to host No. 13 LSU on Saturday at 5 p.m.
The trip to Ole Miss will be Arkansas’ third of four consecutive games away from home. The Razorbacks (2-2, 0-1) are scheduled to play Texas A&M on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Arkansas has won two of three games against Ole Miss under fourth-year coaches Sam Pittman and Lane Kiffin. The Razorbacks won 42-27 last season in Fayetteville. The Rebels won 52-51 in 2021 when Arkansas failed a 2-point conversion with no time remaining.
Southwest Classic team
The Arkansas-Texas A&M game was assigned to SEC Network over the weekend.
That game was passed over by ESPN in favor of a game between Florida and Kentucky in the same 11 a.m. time slot. Both games were being considered.
Play-by-play announcer Dave Neal, analyst Matt Stinchcomb and sideline reporter Alyssa Lang have been assigned to the SEC Network broadcast.
It will be the second time this season Neal has called an Arkansas game. He was on the call for the Razorbacks' 28-6 victory over Kent State on Sept. 9.
SEC Network will televise a game from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, for the first time. The network's pre-game show "SEC Nation" was on site before the Aggies' 23-21 victory over the Razorbacks last season.
The Southwest Classic, as the neutral-site series has been known since 2009, has previously been televised by ESPN, ESPN2, ABC and CBS.
SEC Network televised Arkansas' 42-31 loss at Texas A&M in 2020 when the game was moved to the Aggies' home stadium.
In addition to the TV broadcast, Arkansas has drawn the ESPN Radio crew of Mike Couzens (play-by-play), Max Starks (analyst) and Mike Peasley (sideline) for the second consecutive week. That crew was on the call for the Razorbacks' 34-31 loss at LSU.
