Tuesday recruiting tidbits ** 11:04 update **

Alabama Coach Nick Saban did an in-home visit with North Little Rock RB Altee Tenpenny Monday night. As reported on Monday, Saban visited Tenpenny's school for about an hour and a half in the afternoon.

Arkansas asst. coach Bobby Allen is expected to arrive at North Little Rock high school around 2 to see Tenpenny.

Hog Coach Bret Bielema called Charging Wildcats Coach Brad Bolding this morning and talked for about 30 minutes to discuss Arkansas high school football, the Arkansas Football Coaches Association and Tenpenny.

Norte Dame has stopped by Springdale Har-Ber to check on 2014 defensive line prospects, Josh Frazier and Jake Hall.

2014 OL Octavian Torrence, 6-0, 315 of Camden Fairview squated 620 pounds this morning. Another Cardinal to keep an eye on.

Two junior college prospects, a safety and LB will arrive today for official visits to Arkansas.

The two prospects on official visits are S Tiquention Coleman and LB Neville Hewitt of Georgia Military College. Coleman is a Wisconsin commitment.

2014 DL Bijhon Jackson of El Dorado said he's suppose to talk to an Arkansas coach soon and when he does he plans to make a commitment to the Hogs.

Norte Dame commitment/RB Jamel James of Katy, (Texas) Cinco Ranch said Hog offensive line coach Chris Klenakis told him Coach Bret Beilema will be calling him. He hopes to set up an official visit when he talks to Bielema.

Arkansas basketball Coach Mike Anderson and associate head coach Melvin Watkins attended Northwest Florida State College SF Elgin Cook's game on Sunday. Cook, 6-6 has seen a steady flow of offers since trhe season began. New Mexico, Washington, TCU, Kansas State, VCU, Oregon and Gonzaga have all extended offers.

11:04 update

As expected, Arkansas asst. coach Bobby Allen visited North Little Rock high school for a couple of hours to check on RB Altee Tenpenny. He also visited Pulaski Academy to check on TE Hunter Henry.

Henry had a phone conversation with Hog Coach Bret Bielema tonight, his third since Bielema was introduced as Arkansas' coach. Henry also talked to Bielema on Wednesday and Saturday of last week.

When asked about the hiring of Chris Ash as the Hogs DC, several Razorback defensive commitments said they didn't know much about him. Like with the hiring of Bielema, the prospects will be doing research in the coming days.

Wisconsin commitment/LB Garret Dooley of Illinois said he kind of saw the hiring of Ash by Arkansas. He was hoping it wouldn't happen but understands things like this occur when a head coach leaves a program and takes others from the staff.

Asked how if the Ash hiring changed anything with his commitment, Dooley said nothing has changed but you never close doors because you never know what could happen.

Texarkana, Texas WR Harold Stokes, 6-2, 195, 4.5 has been accepted as a student at Arkansas and plans to walk-on if he doesn't receive an offer. He participated in the Hog summer camps.

2014 Deandre Murray of Springdale ran a 4.3 time in the 40 yard dash today. 2014 S Cua Rose turned in a time of 4.43. He recorded 103 tackles this past season. Arkansas asst. coach Bobby Allen visited the school recently.
