Arkansas received the opening kick and drove for a touchdown for the first time this season, with Cobi Hamillton (37 receiving yards), Dennis Johnson (26 all-purpose yards, 8-yard touchdown run) and Julian Horton (12 receiving yards) doing the damage.

Tulsa converted a fourth-and-2, but stalled and missed a 42-yard field goal. Johnson took a dump pass 25 yards on third-and-8, the Hogs stalled in the red zone and Zach Hocker made a 31-yard field goal. Tulsa moved into Arkansas territory, converting thirdand-8 with a 21-yard pass from Cody Green to Keyarris Garrett on the last play of the quarter.

2nd QuarterARKANSAS 13, TULSA 12

A muffed snap at the Arkansas 3 set up a Tulsa field-goal try. Tevin Mitchel was called for roughing the kicker, and Tulsa big back Alex Singleton scored on fourth down from the 1, but the extra-point attempt was missed. A 69-yard Dylan Breeding punt pinned the Hurricane deep, and Nate Holmes’ 25-yard punt return set the Hogs up at the Tulsa 30. After Tyler Wilson was sacked, Zach Hocker made a 46-yard field goal. Tulsa’s Trey Watts then ran for a 29-yard touchdown. D.D. Jones blocked the extra point and the Hogs led 13-12. Tyler Wilson’s deep pass was intercepted by Dexter McCoil. Offensive pass interference against Keyarris Garrett snuffed Tulsa’s 2-minute drill.

3rd QuarterTULSA 15, ARKANSAS 13

Arkansas’ Julian Horton fumbled a reception away at the Tulsa 23 and Demarco Nelson returned it 33 yards.

A 31-yard catch by Thomas Roberson set up Daniel Schwarz’s 29-yard field goal for a 15-13 Hurricane lead.

Dennis Johnson muffed the kickoff and a personal foul on Jerry Mitchell left Arkansas at the 5. After Arkansas punted, Trey Watts took a screen pass 45 yards to the Hogs’ 5. After Tevin Mitchel broke up a fade for Keyarris Garrett on third down, Tulsa passed on a 22-yard field-goal attempt and Trey Flowers broke up a Cody Green pass at the line. Arkansas drove 50 yards to the Tulsa 45, then rugby punted into the end zone.

4th QuarterARKANSAS 19, TULSA 15

Jared Green had a 7-yard sack of Cody Green. Tyler Wilson found Demetrius Wilson for 20 yards and Cobi Hamilton for 41 on consecutive plays. Dennis Johnson put Arkansas up 19-15 with a 1-yard touchdown run, and the two-point conversion failed. Chris Smith broke up a third-down pass.

Arkansas had a chance to seal it inside the Tulsa 15, but didn’t get in and Zach Hocker missed a 26-yard field goal.

Tulsa gave it up on downs, but Arkansas passed up a field goal on fourth-and-1 at the 16 and Dennis Johnson was stopped, giving Tulsa life. Two plays later, Chris Smith’s sack and forced fumble on Green ended it, as Byran Jones recovered.
