UNLV, which competes in the Mountain West Conference, will make its first trip to Fayetteville. The Runnin' Rebels were 37-20 last season, but failed to make the postseason.

"When we took the job, we wanted to play teams that are consistently ranked in the top 25," UNLV coach Tim Chambers said. "We have recruited guys by telling them that they will have an opportunity to play at some great ball parks and play tough teams."

Other nonconference opponents for Arkansas next season include South Alabama for a home weekend series, a home midweek series against Nebraska and a trip to AT&T Park in San Francisco for a tournament that includes California, San Francisco and Tulane. The Razorbacks' nonconference strength of schedule last season was ranked one of the lowest in the NCAA, hurting the team's bid to host a postseason regional.
