Thursday recruiting tidbits

Junior offensive lineman Rob Dowdy and his mother visited the Hogs for the Texas A&M game.

Junior offensive lineman Rob Dowdy said on Recruiting Thursday radio show that Arkansas is No. 1 on his list.

Dowdy 6-7, 285, 5.0 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Westerville South High School in Ohio visited the Hogs during the Elite Prospect Camp in July. He has eight offers, including Arkansas, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Illinois, West Virginia and Indiana.

He and his mother had high praise for cornerbacks coach Taver Johnson and the Razorback staff.

Springdale Har-Ber defensive lineman Josh Frazier attended Arkansas' practice. As reported earlier, his teammate, defensive end Jake Hall also attended practice.

Junior linebacker Justin Hilliard, 6-2, 220, 4.67 seconds on the 40 yard dash, of Cincinnati St. Xavier high school said on the Recruiting Thursday radio show it looks like he'll attend an Arkansas game about midseason. He and his father visited Fayetteville in April.

He has 29 offers, including Arkansas and is considered one of the elite prospects in the nation for the 2015 class.

Combination guard Jalen Hudson, 6-5, 190 pounds, of Akron (Ohio) St. Vincent-St. Mary said he wull officially visit Arkansas Aug. 30-Sept.1. He has scholarship offers from approximately 25 schools, including Arkansas. His father, Jerry, attended college with associate head coach Melvin Watkins.

Junior safety Larry Pryor, 6-2, 195, 4.4, of Sulphur Springs, Texas said he plans to attend an Arkansas game this season. He visited Fayetteville in July.

He's considered to be one of the top prospects in Texas. He has numerous scholarship offers, including ones from Arkansas, Texas, Baylor, Texas Tech and TCU.
