Skipper visit update

Sam Pittman talks with Tennessee offensive lineman Zach Fulton during a game against Akron at Neyland Stadium.

Tennessee commitment and offensive lineman Dan Skipper, 6-10, 295, 4.97 of Arvada, (Colo.) Ralston Valley said his experience at the Catfish Hole on Friday night was nuts, craziest thing he's ever seen. He said one of the highlights was getting to know the offensive linemen and was hosted by center Travis Swanson.

He said Arkansas' facilities were nice like all schools but the new football complex being built showed how much they invested into the program.

He said the academic staff and support personal were different from other schools and it was evident they had a true passion in helping athletes.

Skipper and his parents were taken back by how friendly the people of the University and Fayetteville were. His mother also commented on the Catfish Hole experience saying it was an amazing experience and has never seen anything like that.

She said she was pleasantly surprised by the academics and the support system for the student-athletes. She said she would be comfortable with Dan attending Arkansas.

Just the opinion of this reporter, his relationship with offensive line coach Sam Pittman is a big key in Arkansas' chances to land Skipper

Skipper and his parents are now heading to Ohio State and then Ole Miss.

No firm timeline for a decision according to Skipper.
