Lacy set to visit Arkansas
Sam Pittman talks with Tennessee offensive lineman Zach Fulton during a game against Akron at Neyland Stadium.
Arkansas will get the last official visit of UCLA commitment and offensive linemen Kenny Lacy when he arrives in Fayetteville about 12:30 today.
Lacy, 6-5, 272, 5.1 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Phoenix Mountain Pointe is considered of the better
offensive line prospects in the nation and is rated a four-star prospect by CBS Sports Network national recruiting analyst Tom Lemming.
"Arkansas has always been there through the whole recruiting process," said Lacy on why he's making a trip to Arkansas. "So I thought it was the right thing to do and take a good look at Arkansas. I have another trip available but I don't think I'm going to take it. "
Lacy, who has visited UCLA, Nebraska and Arizona State, talked on the phone with Arkansas coach Bret Bielema before offensive line coach Sam Pittman made an in-home with him and his mother later in the evening.
"I had a pretty good talk with him and my mom," said Lacy, who will be one of seven prospects visiting the Hogs over the weekend. "He was here for about an hour and half he's a great guy and coach B has a real history of taking care of his offensive linemen."
An early offer from the Razorbacks helped their chances to get a visit.
"Some schools tried to hop in late Arkansas was one of my first big offers." Lacy said.
