Lee named National League All-Star

— Former Arkansas pitcher and Philadelphia Phillies' pitcher Cliff Lee was named to the National League All-Star team.

The 2013 MLB All-Star Game will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16 at Citi Field in New York City.

The Benton native is making his fourth MLB All-Star Game appearance. Lee leads the Phillies with 10 wins and also has a 2.73 earned run average so far this season. He picked up his 10th win in a 5-4 win over Atlanta on Friday.

Lee won the 2008 Cy Young and has made an All-Star team in 2008, 2009 and 2011 prior to this season.

Two other Arkansans, Travis Wood of Bryant and Torii Hunter of Pine Bluff, were also selected to play in the 2013 MLB All-Star Game.
