Arkansas Elite Camp Day I updates

Junior RB Ryan Williams plans to visit Arkansas on Saturday.

Junior offensive lineman Colton Jackson, who received a scholarship offer from Arkansas after performing well at today's Elite camp, said he's going to weigh out his options until his senior year but the Hogs are most definitely at the top.

When asked if he would commit before his senior year he said he hasn't given it much thought but said it's a big possibility. He said he was speechless when Coach Bret Bielema told him of the offer. He didn't much to say.

Jackson is a great story because he didn't start as a sophomore at Conway but added a solid 50 pounds or so over the last year through hard work and made himself into a major college prospect.

WR Jared Cornelius of Shreveport Evangel had an excellent day and showed why Arkansas offered him a scholarship. He beat press coverage easily and created separation very well. His quickness and moves to get open was very impressive. He said he really liked Arkansas and has the Hogs at the top of his list. Missouri jumped in with an offer today and he mentioned Auburn showing strong interest. He plans to visit both.

CB Santos Ramirez, 6-2, 180, 4.56 of Shreveport Evangel was probably the best corner at the camp. He reports offers from Arkansas, LSU, Texas and others. He said the Hogs and Tigers were his top two schools. He didn't mention an order.

CB Nick Johnson, 6-0, 173, 4.40 of Canton, Ohio, Timken was another impressive DB. He had two interceptions in 1-on-1 competition. He ran his 40 time at the camp.

CB Jeremy Winchester of Spring, Texas Klein Collins was another standout. He has more than 10 offers.

A name to remember is 2016 DE McTelvin Agim of Hope. Very impressive at today's camp. He had nice reputation coming in but built on it.

S Payton Hendrix of Dallas Bishop made his second trip to Arkansas in about a month. He said he enjoyed working with DC Chris Ash and found out Ash is very detailed about in coaching DB's.

He said his teammate Jovan Pruitt is pushing him to the Hogs. His cousin, forward Keaton Miles has also been working on him too. He said he hasn't name a top five but the Hogs will likely be in there when he announces his list.

Junior RB Ryan Williams of Lee's Summit West High School could very well be a new commitment should the Hogs offer him after he attends Saturday's camp. He has an offer from Missouri but has been a Razorback fan since youth. Former Hog OL Limbo Parks, who coaches the D-line at the school believes Williams will be one of the better running backs to ever to come out of the Kansas City area.

DE Gerri Green of Greenville, MIss. will not be able to visit the Hogs tomorrow because he wouldn't be able to arrive until the about 4 am. Saturday morning. He plans to reschedule. He has several SEC offers, including Tennessee, Ole Miss and Miss. St. but will likely add one from the Hogs once he visits.
