Wingo down to six

One of Arkansas' top targets, cornerback Raymond Wingo has narrowed his list of 14 scholarship offers to six.

Wingo, 6-1, 164, 4.31 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of St Louis,(Mo.) University High School lists in no particular order Arkansas, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Nebraska and Tennessee as his top schools.

The Hogs were the first to offer.

Last year, he rushed 142 times for 1,379 yards, 20 touchdowns and also had 11 receptions for 152 yards while playing quarterback, running back and receiver. As a defensive back, he recorded 23 tackles and 5 interceptions.

He also returned 24 kicks for 709 yards for a 29.54 average.

Wingo is also an outstanding sprinter in track and was timed at 10.49 seconds in the 100 meters in the spring. He and his family visited Arkansas about three weeks ago.
