— Catcher John Clay Reeves and outfielder Jimmy Bosco have earned player of the year honors in 2013 after transferring from Arkansas following last season.

Reeves, now at Navarro College in Texas, was named Region XIV East player of the year, while Bosco was named NAIA West Group player of the year while playing at Menlo College in Oregon.

Both players have had great seasons at the plate after playing mostly reserve roles last season with the Razorbacks. Reeves, a sophomore, is batting .372 this season with three home runs and 39 RBIs. Bosco, who transferred to Arkansas after playing his freshman season at California, is batting .426 with 15 home runs and 56 RBIs.

At Arkansas last season, Reeves batted .281 in 28 games, while Bosco batted .262 with four home runs in 44 appearances. NAIA and junior college programs are not subject to NCAA bat modifications.

Both were part of one of the Razorbacks' biggest highlights of the 2012 season, drawing consecutive bases-loaded hit-by-pitches in the bottom of the ninth inning to force a deciding Game 3 against Baylor in the Waco Super Regional.
