Thursday recruiting tidbits

Defensive back Cornelius Floyd is planning to make an official visit to Arkansas.

Cornerback Cornelius Floyd, 6-0, 170, 4.49 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Miami Gulliver Prep reports receiving a scholarship offer from Arkansas on Wednesday and now stands at 11.

He also has offers from Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Marshall and Wake Forest. He said he plans to visit and an official visit would be most likely. He's being recruited by linebackers coach Randy Shannon.

Springdale Har-Ber defensive lineman Josh Frazier said he will visit Georgia, Alabama and Auburn in June.

Former Bryant running back Madre London has 18 scholarship offers after recently receiving ones from Wisconsin and Florida State. He attends Ft. Lauderdale, (Fla. St. Thomas Aquinas.

Freshman guard Malik Monk of East Poinsett County and the Arkansas Wings is gaining more and more attention with each weekend of play this spring.

Some of the Arkansas football coaches are back on the road today visiting schools.

Cornerbacks coach Taver Johnson is back in his home state of Ohio to check on defensive end Joe Henderson of Cleveland Shaker Heights and 2015 tight end-defensive end Hjalte Froholdt, who recently visited Arkansas. Earlier update on Froholdt click here

Defensive coordinator Chris Ash will be in Mississippi today to check on several prospects, including Ole Miss Commitment C.J. Hampton and defensive back Josh Keys of Gulf Coast Community College. Greenville Weston asst. coach Greg Hendrix indicated yesterday that Ash would visit the school to check on defensive end Gerri Green.

Running backs coach Joel Thomas will visit the school of running back Shai Mckenzie of Washington, Penn.

Lonoke receiver Blake Mack has received an offer from La-Monroe.

1:15 update

It appears if linebacker Traver Jung improves his ACT score on June 8 there's a very good chance he will walkon in the fall and go on scholarship in January and be counted as a 2014 signee.

Jung, 6-4, 220, 4.45 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Greenville, (Ms.) Weston is a 2013 graduate who has a 2.4 grade point average and just needs a bump in his ACT score to be qualified.

Defensive coordinator Chris Ash will visit the school later today.

10:42 update

Ole Miss receiver commitment Dayall Harris of Jackson, (Ms.) Callaway said he was excited to get a scholarship offer from Arkansas today and plans to visit the Hogs June 10.

Harris, 6-3 1/2, 185, 4.4 seconds in the 40 yard dash, has a best of 10.88 seconds in the 100 meters.

He's been talking to defensive quality control coach Brian Early for about a month on Twitter and has recently started talking to receivers coach Michael Smith. Video highlights click here

Cornerbacks Raymond Wingo, 6-1, 174, 4.31 seconds in the 40 yard dash, ran a 10.50 FAT time in 100 meters tonight after a two hour spring practice and having about an hour and half hour rest before the race. He came in second and the winner Michael Wells had a 10.42 time. The race was a part of the Festival of Miles that feature eight of the top sprinters from Missouri and Illinois.

Correction

Wingo had a 10.49 time in the 100 meters and Wells had a 10.43.
