— Former Arkansas running back Peyton Hillis rushed 18 times for 36 yards and a touchdown in his debut with the New York Giants on Monday.

Hillis also recorded 45 yards receiving as the Giants beat the Minnesota Vikings 23-7. It was Hillis' first game in the NFL this season.

The Giants are the fifth franchise for Hillis in six seasons as a professional. He rushed for 1,177 yards and accounted for 13 touchdowns with the Browns in 2010. He struggled in his final season in Cleveland in 2011 and spent last year in Kansas City.

Hillis spent the preseason with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before being cut last month. He didn't play in either of his two games on the Buccaneers' roster.
