PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Arkansas quarterback Brandon Allen won't play in the Razorbacks' game at Rutgers today.
Allen, who suffered a bruised shoulder last week against Southern Miss, was listed as questionable throughout the week, but didn't throw during any of the team's practices. Junior college transfer AJ Derby will make his first career start in place of Allen.
Arkansas will also dress quarterbacks Austin Allen, Brian Beuhner and Damon Mitchell.
Rutgers starting quarterback Gary Nova will play against the Razorbacks after suffering a concussion last week. Nova passed for a career-high 397 yards and 5 touchdowns in a win at Arkansas last season.
