Arkansas visit gives Agim a "family" feel
Hope sophomore defensive end McTelvin Agim thought well of Arkansas before Saturday’s visit and even more so after the trip.
“They treated us like family up there,” Agim said. “It was real cool and calm and laid back.”
Agim, 6-3, 247, 4.68 seconds in the 40-yard dash, has five scholarship offers from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Clemson, Baylor and Ole Miss. He enjoyed spending time with Coach Bret Bielema. Video highlights CLICK HERE
“He’s cool,” said Agim, who made the trip with teammate and sophomore offensive lineman Kadarius Rowe. “He one of the types he feel like you can trust, It looks like you can’t lie to him, it looks like he can look at you and tell when you’re lying too."
The scenery during the drive up on I-540 and Fayetteville itself also stood out to Agim.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Sophomore Defensive Player of the Year, Agim recorded 77 tackles, including 32 tackles for loss and 16 sacks.
Should Agim become a Hog, he’ll learn from defensive line coach Rory Segrest.
“He’s funny, but he’s real down-to-earth and he’s about business,” Agim said. “He’ll play a little bit but while he’s playing he’s still explaining to you what you need to do. You can tell that you don't want to upset him.”
