Most prospects mention early playing as a factor while picking a school. Campbell isn’t one to worry.
“You always want to get early playing time,” Campbell said. “I feel like if I go anywhere and I play to the best of my ability, I'm going to play early anyway. If you play as good as you are you’re going to play anyway. That would be a good thing, but that won't be such a big factor for me.”
Campbell, who plans to take an unofficial visit to Arkansas during the season, is being recruited by Arkansas defensive coordinator Robb Smith, defensive line coach Rory Segrest and receivers coach Michael Smith.
“Ole Miss and Mississippi State have three coaches talking to me too,” he said.
He has visited Mississippi State Ole Miss, Alabama and Auburn. He’s not sure what will sway him to a school.
“I really don’t know, I have to go to school and see for myself,” Campbell said. “I'll figure it out from there.”
Campbell is a big fan of the Navy SEALS and has considered being one himself.
“I love those guys,” he said.
He once encountered a Navy recruiter and had a message for the recruiter.
“You find the hardest thing ya’ll got to do and put it on me and I'll do it,” Campbell said. “Trying to be a Navy SEAL is the hardest thing you can do.”
