Arkansas offensive line coach Sam Pittman was expected to visit the school of highly recruited offense lineman Jalen Merrick this morning.
Merrick, 6-5, 310 pounds, 5.21 seconds in the 40-yard dash, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla. has only played two years of football after giving up basketball to focus on the gridiron. He officially visited the Hogs for the Ole Miss game.
Sophomore defensive lineman Marvin Wilson of Bellaire, (Texas) Episcopal said running backs coach Joel Thomas visited his school on Monday. Thomas also checked on sophomore receiver Jahmon Ausbon.

Arkansas defensive back target Sheldrick Redwine of Miami Killian tweeted his top six school in no order Tuesday night. He listed Kentucky, Louisville, South Florida, Texas, Minnesota and Arkansas. He plans to officially visit the Hogs in January.
Athlete Arico Evans, 6-2, 190, 4.50 of Dallas Hillcrest said running backs coach Joel Thomas visited him at school this morning. He said Thomas will hame an on-home visit on Sunday, the last day of the December contact period.

Arkansas defensive line coach Rory Segrest will attend defensive end-linebacker Porter Gustin's basketball game tonight.
Gustin has just arrived back home from New York City after attending several propromtional events for the U.S. Army National Player of the Year award that will be announced at the U.S. Army All American game on Jan. 3.
Segrest arrived at Salem Hills high school earlier in the day to visit with Coach Joel Higginson.
It doesn't appear offensive lineman Jalen Merrick will announce his decision this week. That could change, but sounds the decision will come in couple of weeks.
Merrick is from New Smyrna Beach, Fla. is a major target of the Hogs.
