— Arkansas' Bobby Portis got a birthday present from the Southeastern Conference on Monday.

The Razorbacks' center was named freshman of the week by the SEC for the third time. Portis turned 19 on Monday.

Portis scored 35 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and blocked 6 shots last Wednesday in a win over Alabama. His point total was the highest ever for an Arkansas freshman in a single game.

He added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the Razorbacks' road win over Vanderbilt on Saturday.
