FAYETTEVILLE Ky Madden scored 21 points and Arkansas beat LSU 81-70 Saturday at Bud Walton Arena.
The Razorbacks used a 12-2 second half run to take control after the Tigers staked a brief lead midway through the second half. Madden and Coty Clarke each hit 3-pointers to ignite a sold out crowd, which included former President Bill Clinton sitting court side.
Arkansas (16-9, 5-7 SEC) led by as many as 10 points in the first half and 37-33 at halftime. LSU fought back after the intermission, taking the lead on Andre Stringer's 3-pointer with 10:57 remaining.
The Tigers led 57-54 after a Johnny O'Bryant basket, but the Razorbacks took over from there. A slam dunk by Alandise Harris began the run and Bobby Portis gave Arkansas the lead with 9:18 remaining on a shot from the baseline.
Clarke scored 16 points and had 9 rebounds, while Portis added 15 points and 8 rebounds. Michael Qualls scored 12 of his 13 points before halftime.
Arkansas hit 10 of 17 attempts from 3-point range.
O'Bryant led LSU (15-9, 6-6) with 20 points and 16 rebounds, but fouled out with 2:55 remaining.
Arkansas avenged an 88-74 loss to the Tigers two weeks earlier in Baton Rouge, La. The Razorbacks will host South Carolina on Wednesday.
