— The U.S. Army National Combine got underway this morning with several Arkansas athletes participating along with some out-of-state prospects being recruited by the Razorbacks.

Star City sophomore OL-DL Austin Capps measured 6-3.5 and weighed in at 307 at Thursday's registration. He said he ran a 5.1 laser time in the 40 today.

North Little Rock WR K.J. Hill ran a 4.44 laser 40 yard dash along with a 4.31 shuttle time.

Ft. Smith Northside DE Daytrieon Dean ran a 5.09 laser time in the 40 and recorded a 25.5 vertical. He said he ran a 4.6 shuttle but wasn't sure on the exact time. He measured 6-3.5 and weighed 260.

Little Rock Catholic athlete D.J. Brown ran a 4.53 laser time in 40, 4.34 shuttle and had a 30-inch vertical.

WR Jaelan Austin of Grand Prairie, Texas ran a 4.50 laser 40 and a 4.22 laser in shuttle. Has an Arkansas offer. He measured 6-1 and weighed 185.

Non-combine tidbit, had a conversation with someone earlier in the week that could lead one to believe St. Louis Christian Brothers OT Brian Wallace to Arkansas is a good possibility. A source said today Wallace will pick the Hogs during Saturday's Army All American game.

While both sound promising, not ready to say it with 100 percent certainty.
