— Stacy Lewis, the No. 1 women's golfer in the world, struggled in the second round of the U.S. Women's Open at Pinehurst, falling out of the lead Friday.

The former Arkansas golfer held a one-stroke lead after a 3-under 67 first round, but she had six bogeys and only three birdies en route to a 3-over 73 second round.

Her overall even-par score is tied for third behind Michelle Wie (4-under) and Lexi Thompson (1-under).

Lewis was 4-over on the round though 14 holes, but she birdied the 15th hole and made par on the final three holes to finish the round at 3-over.
