Killian makes final USA roster

FAYETTEVILLE Arkansas pitcher Trey Killian is one of 12 pitchers on the final roster for the USA collegiate national team.

Killian pitched once for Team USA during its nine-day Red, White and Blue exhibition tour against summer teams in the Carolinas and Virginia. Killian struck out seven batters in three innings last Wednesday in a start against the Wilson (N.C.) Tobs.
Team USA, managed this year by Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn, will begin international play Tuesday with a five-game series against Chinese Taipei in cities across North Carolina. Team USA will also host the Japanese national team before traveling to The Netherlands and Cuba later next month.
Killian is the first Arkansas player to make the team since Ryne Stanek in 2012.
