El Dorado defensive lineman Bijhon Jackson, an Arkansas signee, benched pressed 310 pounds 10 times last week. He's looking to lift 440 to 450 pounds in the bench press on Saturday at the state weight lifting meet in Russellville.

He set the state record of 350 pounds in the power clean in last year's meet.

Star City sophomore offensive and defensive lineman Austin Capps, 6-3 1/2, 307 pounds recorded lifts of 350 pounds on the bench press, 325 power clean, 515 dead lift and 580 squat about two weeks ago at school. He plans to visit Arkansas, Alabama, Ole Miss, Florida State and Auburn this summer.

Arkansas offensive line signee Frank Ragnow, 6-6 of Victoria (Minn.) Chanhassen said he's up to 284 pounds after weighing 270 during basketball season.

He's gained weight by using Hogs' strength and conditioning Ben Herbert's workout book while also eating healthier and avoiding fast food. He's good friends with junior defensive end Jashon Cornell of St. Paul, Minnesota and is trying to get him to visit Fayetteville.

Cornell is rated the No. 1 prospect in the nation by ESPN.

Arkansas defensive end commitment JaMario Bell of Junction City said there's a good possibility he'll attend North Little Rock in the fall.

Tight end Josh Moore of Olathe (Kan.) North said he'll visit Arkansas on Saturday. He has five offers but, is hoping to see the Hogs offer during his visit.

Highland athlete Avery Johnson scored a 110.40 SPARQ rating at the Birmingham Nike Combine. He rand a 4.63 40 time, 32.8 vertical, 4.45 pro-shuttle and a 41.5 power ball throw. He plans to work with former Hog receiver J.J. Meadors and score in the 120-130 range at the Nike Combine in Dallas in May.

Highland receiver Deon Stewart plans to visit Ole MIss on Saturday and Arkansas on April 15. He and Johnson will visit Arkansas State on April 14.

Running back Mon Denson, 5-11 1/ 2, 207 pounds, 4.44 seconds in the 40-yard dash, of LaGrange, Georgia said he's planning to visit Arkansas this summer. He has scholarship offers from schools like Arkansas, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Georgia Tech and West Virginia.

Arkansas will be well represented at the Nike Training Football Camp in Dallas on Saturday. North Little Rock will have receiver K.J. Hill, quarterback-saftey Heath Land, safety Tyler Phillips and linebacker Justice Austin. Land will compete in the Elite 11 quarterback challenge on Sunday.

Jonesboro sophomore running back Denzel Mitchell and junior cornerback Deavion Binion and junior tight end-defensive end Jerome McIntosh.

Sophomore receiver Jordan Jones of Smackover will participate at the camp along with Parkers Chapel freshman athlete Dezmon Jackson. Hope sophomore defensive end McTelvin Agim will also attend.

Bentonville sophomore quarterback Kasey Ford will participate in Sunday's Elite 11.

Correction

The Dallas Elite 11 Quarterback Challenge is May 4th, not this weekend.
