Jaguars sign Smith

Former Arkansas defensive end Chris Smith signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday.

Smith, the team's fifth round selection, signed a 4-year contract worth $2.4 million. Smith received a signing bonus worth $187,000.

He is the third former Arkansas player to sign since the NFL Draft. Kicker Zach Hocker signed a 4-year contract with the Redskins worth $2.1 million and $60,248 guaranteed. Fullback Kiero Small signed a 4-year contract with the Seahawks worth $2.28 million with $60,256 guaranteed.

Hocker and Small were seventh round draft picks. Center Travis Swanson, a third round selection of the Lions, has yet to sign.
