— Infielder Blake Baxendale is transferring from Arkansas.

Baxendale said on Twitter he will transfer to Crowder Community College in Neosho, Missouri. He will be a redshirt sophomore for the 2015 season.

Baxendale declined an interview request.

Baxendale played one season at Arkansas, batting .290 in 34 games last season. He had one home run and 21 RBIs, starting 26 times at catcher and designated hitter.

The Rogers native missed the final two weeks of the regular season and all of the postseason after suffering an injury during the Razorbacks' series finale at Ole Miss last May. He worked at first base during Arkansas' fall practices.

At Rogers Heritage, Baxendale was the 2012 high school player of the year in Arkansas. He didn't play his first year at Arkansas in 2013 after undergoing Tommy John surgery.
