One of the top junior prospects in Texas is planning to visit Arkansas for the LSU game on Saturday.

Tight end Kaden Smith, 6-5, 235 of Flower Mound, (Texas), Marcus plans to make the trip with his teammate and junior defensive end Andrew Fitzgerald. Both are being recruited by running backs coach Joel Thomas.

As reported late in Tuesday's recruiting tidbits, Arkansas defensive line commitment Hjalte Froholdt will make his official visit for the Ole Miss game Nov. 22 instead of this weekend.

Junior quarterback Matthew Beck, 6-7, 208, 4.9 seconds in the 40 yard dash, of Alexandria, Louisiana plans to visit for the LSU game.He completed 26 of 42 passes for 466 yards and 3 touchdowns on Friday. He's drawing interest from about 20 schools.

He threw for 1,450 yards and 10 touchdowns as a sophomore.

Offensive lineman Tyler Howell, 6-7, 295 of Butler Communty College said he plans to arrive in Fayetteville at about 5 o'clock Friday afternoon. He's looking forward to spending time with the players and coaches.

He plans to ask the players about their experience in Fayetteville.

Howell said he plans to take his five visits and a great visit will not result in a commitment. He has plans to visit Ohio State. He's also considering Arizona State, Missouri and others for the other three trips.

Arkansas defensive line commitment Jeremiah Ledbetter of Hutchinson Community College had 4 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1 sack and a recovered fumble on Saturday.

Receiver Dominique Reed of Coffeyville Communty College had 3 receptions for 40 yards and 1 touchdown in Saturday's game.

Arkansas tight end commitment Austin Cantrell of Roland, Okla. had 8 rushes for 35 yards, 2 receptions for 24 yards and 1 touchdown. He had 5 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1.5 sacks on Friday.

Junior running back Devwah Whaley, 5-11, 195 of Beaumont, Texas, Central said Arkansas defensive backs coach Clay Jennings visited his school last week. He hopes to visit the Hogs in the spring or summer. Video highlights CLICK HERE

He said he has interest in the Hogs because of the focus on the running game and the chances for early playing time with Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams leaving.

He also excels in track and field and has a best of 10.68 in the 100 meters.
