— The annual football game between Arkansas and Missouri will be for a trophy in future years.

Officials from the schools are working together to commission a trophy for the game, which is being dubbed "The Battle Line Rivalry" after corporate sponsorship rights were sold to Columbia, Missouri-based Shelter Insurance last month.

The Razorbacks and Tigers will play their first conference football game Friday. The winning team will be presented a temporary award after the game and given the real trophy once it is made next year.

Arkansas currently plays two trophy games in football against LSU and Texas A&M. Missouri has a trophy game against South Carolina, and previously played trophy games against Nebraska, Oklahoma and Iowa State.

The Razorbacks have played Missouri five times, the last two of which were in bowl games. Friday's game will be the first regular season game played between the teams since 1963.
