Georgia's strengths showed right away Saturday

Before the game ended, the emails began to arrive.

They continued arriving until Monday morning.

They came from all over the state as well as Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.

Jimmy, Mark, Earl and a host of others, as well as several ladies, were extremely disappointed in the Hogs' 45-32 loss to No. 10 Georgia on Saturday.

Not saying who, but a couple were not Bielemers. Most understood the Arkansas Razorbacks' 16-game losing streak in the SEC is not X's and O's anymore, it is the Jimmys and Joes.

The Georgia Bulldogs were better because they had more good players and a lot of that is because of Mark Richt being in place so long. That stability has enabled Georgia to have better recruiting classes than Arkansas, which has had three coaches in the past four seasons.

In the past five years, the Bulldogs' recruiting classes have averaged being No. 10 in the country. Over that same span, the Razorbacks have averaged being No. 38.

It took one Georgia possession to show the difference in speed.

Hopes were high for the Hogs because they were coming off two close losses, 35-28 in overtime to Texas A&M and 14-13 to perennial power Alabama.

Plus, Georgia came into War Memorial Stadium without its best running back, Todd Gurley, who was averaging more than 8 yards per carry. He was a Heisman Trophy candidate until being suspended recently.

All across the country, experts decided that the Bulldogs' 34-0 victory over Missouri the week before was because of the adrenaline and the emotion of playing for Gurley and five turnovers by the Tigers.

Filling in for him is true freshman Nick Chubb, who had been fourth on the depth chart until the suspension and a couple of injuries. Chubb's debut as a starter against the Tigers was almost impressive, 143 yards and a touchdown, but he carried 38 times.

Most people picked the Hogs.

Chubb had 130 yards rushing and two touchdowns by the half, and as everyone remembers, Georgia led 38-6.

He finished with 202 yards against the defense that held Alabama to 66 rushing yards the previous Saturday. The same Alabama that rushed for 298 yards against Texas A&M in a 59-0 spanking of the Aggies.

When a fourth-string tailback hits you for 202 yards, that is depth. Depth because of stability. Depth that comes from having a plan when it comes to recruiting and executing it. Depth that comes from making and maintaining contact with high school coaches.

Most emailers are Bielemers. They see the improvement.

The last thing the Razorbacks need in football is another change as head coach.

Actually, it was refreshing that after the game he didn't make any excuses and there were some who said the Hogs had to come out of game with the Crimson Tide with tons of aches and pains. That was a very physical game. Yes, 'Bama bounced back but its average recruiting class for the past five years is No. 1.

Alabama has even more depth than Georgia.

The Hogs were probably also hurting a little emotionally after losing two games they played good enough to win.

Arkansas showed perseverance Saturday. It kept battling when it could have quit down 38-6 at the half. Yes, Georgia had gone to a base offense and defense, but the Hogs had a much better second half than first.

Anyone who watched the Bret Bielema Show on Sunday night realizes he was more disappointed than anyone.

Saturday's nonconference game with Alabama-Birmingham is a slight break, but the schedule quickly goes back to being the toughest in the country. Every ranked team in the SEC has either beaten Arkansas or remains on the schedule.
