Arkansas 49, Texas Tech 28

What they're saying

Arkansas quarterback Brandon Allen, left, talks with running back Alex Collins after Collins ran an 84-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014 at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock, Texas.

Arkansas coach Bret Bielema on the run game

"J-Will was awesome. I think him and Alex (Collins) really continued to roll. I think Korliss (Marshall) has got to be more of a factor for us. We have to be great with ball security and he's so explosive, we have to continue to get him in there. I thought our fullbacks did a really job and executed the game plan."

Bielema on the road win

"I thought for the old school Razorback fans to come over here and play Texas Tech, I think it's just kind of awesome to have those kind of fans from that era and that nostalgia, to get that win today was pretty cool."

Arkansas quarterback Brandon Allen on 5-yard touchdown run

"It was a screen over the middle and we got pressure up the middle, but couldn't get the screen off. I was actually looking for a place to dump the ball, just to get it out of my hand. I kept it. They went back for the screen and kind of cut me loose a little bit and I was able to just get around one guy. They had two guys on our screen guy who kept running, so I pump-faked them and walked into the end zone."

Allen on putting the win in perspective

"It just feels great to win again and I thought we did a great job today of playing physical like we wanted to. I think we handled up front very well. I thought our O-line did a great job, running backs. That kind of effort by them makes my job easy."

Arkansas running back Alex Collins on 84-yard touchdown run

"I was thinking, 'Just get to the end zone.' I wasn't expecting to break out, but after I gave the strong safety a stiff arm, I broke free. I just ran for my life toward the end zone."

Arkansas running back Jonathan Williams on yards after contact

"That's something Coach (Joel) Thomas definitely stressed. We're out there doing a lot of yards after contact drills at practice. I feel like he'll excited to watch the film tonight and tomorrow."

Arkansas linebacker Brooks Ellis on linebackers forcing two turnovers

"I thought we all did a great job. We all have something to work on. I definitely have to work on those hands a little bit."

Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury on Arkansas' run game

"Just lined up and we knew it was coming, we just didn't get it stopped. I thought offensively the first half we gave them two touchdowns with those turnovers, and you can't put your defense in that position. The second half we didn't have the answer.

Texas Tech quarterback Davis Webb on passing struggles

"Oh, they did a great job. Arkansas' team, give them all the credit in the world. They had a great game plan for us. They dropped back pretty deep and took away the middle of the field. That was a huge emphasis we were trying to hit this week. Once they took that away, just be quick on the move, but we weren't good enough today. Huge credit to them. They played hard."
