Arkansas coach Bret Bielema on scoring so many ways
That says a lot. Again, all the parts in our program have equal time. We need to be equal as an offense, defense and special teams. It’s a great teaching point for our guys. I really felt the end of the drive in the second quarter, two weeks in a row, really put the game out of reach in the second half against our opponents.
Bielema on Korliss Marshall's opening kickoff TD
I give Coach (Rory) Segrest a lot of credit. He had been talking all week about being able to get that play. It was a great scheme, great execution and obviously Korliss hit it full throttle.
Bielema on Brandon Allen's performance
There were several throws that Brandon Allen made today that were second or third progressions, that is incredible patience. He had great protection all day, which I think was critical, but his demeanor and execution were really awesome.
Arkansas receiver Keon Hatcher on 44-yard TD reception
Coach called the play and we got a certain coverage. I knew I was getting the ball when we lined up I knew I was getting it and BA (Brandon Allen) put it out there and I just went to go get it.
Arkansas defensive lineman Darius Philon on 14-yard fumble recovery for TD
Coach (Robb) Smith teaches us every day about ball disruption and putting your knuckles on the ground. Don’t panic. Don’t rush. Just get the ball and score.
Northern Illinois coach Rod Carey on loss
Give Arkansas a ton of credit. They are a fine football team. They came out and played disciplined football, made plays in the kicking game and didn’t turn the ball over. You can really sum up the game with their ability to do that and not us. Once again, they are a fine football team.
