Dallas recruiting report Day II

UCLA defensive line commitment Bryce English is considering an official visit to Arkansas.

— UCLA defensive line commitment Bryce English said he's considering taking an official visit to Arkansas.

He said defensive backs coach Clay Jennings communicates with him everyday and also talks with his father. The LSU game weekend is one option that he and Jennings has talked about for an official visit.

English, 5-11, 315 pounds of Desoto, Texas has a 395 bench press and 515 squat. He used his strength and quickness to dominate Cibolo Steele, one of the top programs in the state, and help his team to a 29-24 victory last week.

Desoto Coach Claude Mathis said English had 7 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and 2 forced fumbles and called the performance the most dominating he's seen in 15 years of coaching. He said the Steele coach made it a point to locate English and because English was a big reason for his team's loss.

English, who said Arizona State is another school he's considering for an official visit, said the SEC and his relationship with Jennings is key for his interest in the Hogs. His father is from Osceola and still very fond of the state.

Arkansas is also recruiting junior quarterback Tristen Wallace,who has several offers, including Ohio State and Nebraska. He's considered one of the top prospects in the 2016 class.

Running back Rawleigh Williams of Dallas Bishop Lynch said Coach Bret Bielema's focus on recruiting players with character helped his decision to be a Hog.

Bishop Lynch Coach Ben Dasch said Williams was team captain as a junior and is again this season. He raved about William's leadership and his character.

Hog offensive line commitment Zach Rogers of Carrollton, (Texas) Hebron said his cast on his broken ankle comes off Oct. 7 and then he'll wear a boot for a few weeks. Good to go once he arrives at Arkansas in January.

He said it was good to talk to Coach Bret Bielema, offensive line coach Sam Pittman and running backs coach Joel Thomas the night of the injury.

Hebron is snake bit with injuries. A team captain, Rogers and four other of the six team captains will miss tomorrow's night because of injuries.

Running back Charles West of Coppell, Texas said he plans to visit the Hogs for the Alabama and LSU games. He plans to officially visit Oregon State. Will make his decision after his visits.

Non-Dallas recruiting news involves Miami American defensive back Jeremiah Dinson, who's committed to Kentucky. He tweeted that he plans to visit Arkansas in January.
