Forward sets date for Arkansas official visit

University of Arkansas assistant basketball coachT.J. cleveland speaks to reporters during a press conference Thursday afternoon at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville.

Forward Dikembe Dixson will officially visit Arkansas May 8-10, according to Corey Evans of Roundball Roundup Report.

Dixon, 6-7, 190 of Delbarton, West Virginia averaged 22 points and 10.5 rebounds a game while playing shooting guard and small forward this past season.

“He’s still a little bit raw and still got a lot to learn, but he’s freakishly athletic, Delbarton Coach Brad Napier told Phil Kornblut of Sports Talk radio in South Carolina. "He can handle the ball and has great quickness for a guy 6-7. He can shoot it well from the outside but he does need to get in the weight room and add some strength. And he can guard. He can guard anyone from the two to the four position.”

Arkansas assistant T.J. Cleveland visited with Dixson on Wednesday.
