Arkansas women win Hy-Vee Cup at Drake Relays

The Arkansas women's track and field team won the Hy-Vee Cup Saturday at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.

The Razorbacks clinched the cup by winning the 4x400 meter relay, which gave them 30 points. That was five points better than second place Ohio State.

Created in 2013, the Hy-Vee Cup includes the 4x100 meters, 4x400 meters, 4x800 meters, distance medley and sprint medley.

Arkansas also won the sprint medley, while finishing fourth in the distance medley and 4x800 meter relay.

Daina Harper, Taylor Ellis-Watson and Chrishuna Williams were on both winning relay teams. Regine Williams and Brianna Swinton were the fourth members of the sprint medley and 4x400, respectively.

The men's team finished second, with 13 points. Illinois won with 33 points.

Omar McLeod won the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 13.21 seconds. That is the fastest time in Drake Relays history and the fifth-fastest time in collegiate history.

McLeod also helped the 4x100 relay team to a win along with teammates Kenzo Cotton, Jarrion Lawson and Marqueze Washington.
