2017 Oklahoma O-lineman plans return trip to the Hill

Sophomore offensive lineman Creed Humphrey plays with a nasty attitude.

Sophomore offensive lineman Creed Humphrey was so impressed with his visit to Arkansas on Saturday, he plans to make at least one return trip in the near future.

Humphrey, 6-3, 302 of Shawnee, Oklahoma plans to attend a camp in Fayetteville this summer, but could be back sooner.

“Hopefully, I can come down another time before that,” Creed said.

Humphrey is part of the 2017 class that’s expected to be one of the better classes in Oklahoma in several years. His hard work in the weight room has produced a 365 pound bench press and 485 squat.

“I definitely live in the weight room,” Humphrey said. “It’s a big part of my life.”

He liked what he experienced during the Hogs’ Red-White game.

“The place is awesome,” he said. "The fans there are amazing. They just seem to be into the whole team and they really believe in them. They’re like really loyal.”

Humphrey has visited Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Ole Miss and believes Arkansas stacks up well with those schools.

“It’s definitely nice, it’s really nice,” Humphrey said. “The facilities there are amazing. They’re definitely one of the tops I’ve ever seen.”

He was impressed by Arkansas’ offensive line play and commented on how physical the starting five were. Humphrey also prides himself in playing hard and usually plays until the whistle.

“I really have like a highly competitive edge,” he said. “I definitely like to dominate anyone I’m going against. I definitely don’t back down from anybody.”

In addition to Arkansas, Humphrey plans to attend camps at Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, North Carolina and Penn State.
