Arkansas football coaches will go on the road Wednesday for the spring evaluation period. The Hogs were on the road twice during spring practice. Each school gets 168 evaluation days during April 15 and May 31.

Each day an assistant coach is on the road counts towards the 168. An assistant is allowed an athletic and academic evaluation of a prospect. Should he do both in a day, he's allowed to return to the school a second time for an athletic evaluation.

Head coaches are not allowed to be on the road.

Coaches can watch workouts, practices, an athletic event the recruit may take part in, but can't have any contact with an athlete while visiting the school. Schools are allowed one phone call to junior prospects during the evaluation period.

Highly recruited defensive end Caleb Roddy of Denham Springs, La. said Monday night Arkansas was still his No. 1 school.

Prairie Grove tight end Dylan Soehner has been invited to camps at Iowa, Michigan, Harvard and Princeton. Ohio, Navy and Louisiana-LaFayette are new schools showing interest.

Sophomore offensive lineman Dawson Deaton, 6-5, 270, 5.3 of Frisco, Texas said he plans to return to Fayetteville for an Arkansas camp this summer. He attended and was very impressed with Hog fans during the spring game. Learning the Hog Call was one of the highlights of the trip. He thinks it's the best chant in college football.

Texas, Texas Tech, Fresno State and others are also showing interest. Video highlights CLICK HERE
