The Recruiting Guy

Sunday visit updates

NWA Media/Michael Woods --12/29/2014-- w @NWAMICHAELW...University of Arkansas coach Bret Bielema talks with the official during the 3rd quarter of their 31-7 win over the University of Texas at the Texas Bowl Monday night at NRG Stadium in Houston.

Arkansas hosted four prospects on official visits and hope to add to the commitment list in the near future.

Defensive end JaMario Bell, 6-6, 248, 4.7, of Junction City was hosted by defensive tackle Bijhon Jackson on Friday night and defensive end Deatrich Wise on Saturday. He was able to talk more with Coach Bret Bielema and loves the program even more.

Bell was told the coaches can't wait to get him on campus. He said they believe they can turn him into a monster.

Linebacker James King, 6-2, 200 pounds, 4.45 seconds in the 40-yard dash, played for Miami Washington and has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Utah, West Virginia, South Florida and Florida Atlantic. He was hosted by former Miami Washington offensive lineman and current Hog Denver Kirkland and safety De'Andre Coley.

He felt at home while on the visit and that's something his mother wants him to have in college. He's impressed that linebacker coach Vernon Hargreaves sent seven players to the NFL while coaching at Miami.

The Hogs are recruiting him to play Will linebacker. He'll decide Monday or Tuesday on if he'll take other visits. He's committed to Florida Atlantic.

North Carolina State defensive end commitment Jabari Zuniga, 6-3, 260, 4.8, of Marietta (Ga.) Sprayberry said the facilities and family atmosphere were the highlights of the trip. He said the visit definitely helped Arkansas' chances. He said Coach Bret Bielema knows what he's doing.

Being able to spend more time with defensive line coach Rory Segrest helped their relationship. Segrest's five seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles is also a plus. His mother made the trip and loved the visit.

He's done with visits and will decide from North Carolina State, Arkansas and Florida. No timeframe for a decision.

Zuniga has scholarship offers from about 20 schools, including Arkansas, North Carolina State, Florida, Minnesota, Kansas State, Iowa State and Illinois.
