BEAVERTON, Ore. — The first day of The Opening, the most prestigious event for high school football prospects, is focused on SPARQ testing of the 166 athletes along with a training camp featuring NFL stars.
The SPARQ testing will consist of the 40 yard dash, pro-agility shuttle, vertical jump and the power ball toss.
Richard Sherman, Manti Te'o, Coby Fleener, Ndamkong Suh, Victor Cruz, Trent Williams and Bobby Wagner will be some of the NFL players teaching the nation's top prospects.

Safety Brandon Jones, 6-0, 195, 4.3, of Nacogdoches, Texas said he'll visit Arkansas very soon. He posted a score of 126.36 in the Nike SPARQ rating with a 4.44 time in the 40, 4.24 in the pro-shuttle 35.4 and a 41.5 foot power ball toss.
Hope defensive end McTelvin Agim scored a 102.27 in the SPARQ rating. He measured 6-3 and weighed 267.
Agim ran a 4.88 laser time in the 40 and had a 32 inch vertical, 4.54 pro-shuttle and a 39 foot power ball toss.
Linebacker Jeffrey McCulloch of Houston Aldine Davis scored a 138.30 with a 4.72 time in the 40, 4.00 pro-shuttle, 38 inch vertical and a 41 foot power ball toss.
Arkansas receiver target Tyrie Cleveland of Houston Westfield scored the highest SPARQ rating with a 147.96. He had a time of 4.32 in the 40 and a 41.3 vertical.
Defensive back Obi Eboh of Southlake, Texas scored a 117.60 SPARQ with a 4.52 time in the 40, 32.86 vertical, 4.13 pro-shuttle and a 42.5 power ball toss. He said he still remains interested in Arkansas.
Running back Devin White of Springhill, La. North Webster ran a 4.49 time in the 40 and a 44 power ball toss.
2017 Offensive lineman Trey Smith of Jackson, Tenn. measured at 6-51/2 and weighted 278. He had a 25.6 vertical. He recently visited Arkansas.

The entire Arkansas coaching staff made contact with Hope defensive end McTelvin Agim before he arrived in Oregon for the Opening. He was 3-1 vs. offensive linemen in 1-on-1's today. He was 1-1 vs. Jack Anderson and 2-0 vs. Austin Myers.
Running back Devin White said he'll release a top 10 soon and Arkansas will definitely be on the list without a doubt. He likes his relationship with running backs coach Jemal Singleton and receivers coach Michael Smith.
He said Smith is the best recruiting coach he has. His comment about Smith- "I’ll go call him and talk to him before I call any other coach."
Highly regarded junior offensive lineman Trey Smith of Jackson, Tenn said he could "absolutely could see myself there" after being asked about his June 20 visit to Arkansas. He;s a big fan of offensive line coach Sam Pittman and his coaching style. Also likes the large number of linemen he's coached to the NFL.
Two Arkansas targets, linebacker Jeffrey McCulloch of Houston Aldine Davis and receiver Tyrie Cleveland of Houston Westfield are in the Nike SPARQ finals.

Linebacker Jeffrey McCulloch of Houston Aldine Davis said he's pretty sure he'll eventually visit Arkansas. One of his comments about linebacker coach Vernon Hargreaves. "He’s a character, a real character. I love talking with him. He’s like one of the guys out here."
Metairie, (La.) Rummel cornerback Kristian Fulton said he's trying to visit Arkansas July the 22nd and the 23rd. If not, he'll try and make an official visit. He and Arkansas defensive target McTelvin Agim were hanging out later today. He said Hog commitment Briston Guidry is urging him to be a Razorback.
Junior offensive lineman Jack Anderson, 6-4, 280 of Frisco, Texas reminds me of current Arkansas lineman Zach Rogers. He like Rogers very seldom had a bad rep during camps in 1-on-1's. He had a very solid day.
Junior offensive lineman Trey Smith has told Anderson good things about the Hogs after taking a visit in June. He has a visit set to Texas A&M for July 27. He works at a golf course and hopes to find time to visit Arkansas.
Cornerback Eric Cuffee of Waco, Texas announced his top 11 schools tonight in no order, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Notre Dame,Michigan, Alabama, Texas, Baylor, TCU, Arkansas, Auburn and Arizona State.
