The Recruiting Guy

ESPN analyst "loves" Hog commitment

Jake Heinrich

— ESPN national recruiting analyst Craig Haubert was in Oregon to focus on the talent at The Opening, but was quick to comment on Arkansas offensive line commitment Jake Heinrich when talking about Hog recruiting.

“I love him,” Haubert said. “When he gets his hands on you it’s over. He is strong and tenacious.”

Heinrich, 6-4, 290 pounds of Urbandale, Iowa chose the Razorbacks over scholarship offers from Oregon, Iowa State, Louisville, Kansas State, Illinois, California and others. He has a 420 pound bench press, 620 squat and a 335 power clean.

He has an intangible needed on the line.

“I don’t think you teach toughness and he brings that to the table,” Haubert said.

Haubert said Heinrich just missed making the ESPN 300 and believes he and the Hogs are a good match.

“You think about what Arkansas is trying to do and trying to establish with their system and being physical and running the football, I think that’s an outstanding fit for him,” Haubert said.
